Mrs. Kadoria Burgess
Greetings!
My name is Kadoria Burgess, and I am so excited to become a part of the Panther nation at Oaklawn Elementary because I have a passion for students and all things related to learning. I know that the staff at Oaklawn feel the exact same way because the unofficial motto is, “Do right by kids!”.
I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education & Spanish from Vanderbilt University, sí, soy bilingüe, and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from UTA. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University. I started my teaching career in Fort Worth ISD, and I have taught Bilingual, Dual Language, and General Education classes in Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in various school districts. I have also served as a Grade Level Administrator, Campus ESL Coordinator, and most recently, I have worked as an Instructional Content Coach/Reading Academy Cohort Leader at ESC Region 11.
